         <description><![CDATA[The Michigan State rowing program will open its boathouse doors to nearly 200 Lansing-area children for a week-long program that gives children ages 8-14 a chance to learn about the sport. The camp, now in its fifth season, runs from July 22-24; groups of 30-50 children will receive basic rowing instructions, experience a workout on a rowing machine, and spend 30 minutes rowing on the Grand River. The campers are members of a program put on by the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department throughout the summer.]]></description>

The Spartans, who finished sixth in the team points championship, tied their best-ever finish at the NCAA's. Yale won the varsity eight race, while Brown captured the team title for the second straight season and sixth overall. Both MSU's eight and the four were in Sunday's grand finals; the four placed fifth, while the varsity eight took sixth.          <description><![CDATA[Having claimed the Central Sprints and Big Ten Championship titles, the Spartans enter the NCAA Championships as the sixth-ranked team in the nation.This weekend's (May 30-June 1) NCAA Championships will be held on Lake Natoma at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center in Sacramento, Calif. The Aquatic Center, in conjunction with Nimbus Flats State Park, is the established site of every major west coast championship for high school and collegiate rowing.
