MSU Crew Teams with Lansing Parks & Recreation for 'Learn to Row' program
The Michigan State rowing program will open its boathouse doors to nearly 200 Lansing-area children for a week-long program that gives children ages 8-14 a chance to learn about the sport. The camp, now in its fifth season, runs from July 22-24; groups of 30-50 children will receive basic rowing instructions, experience a workout on a rowing machine, and spend 30 minutes rowing on the Grand River. The campers are members of a program put on by the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department throughout the summer.

Yale won the varsity eight race, while Brown captured the team title for the second straight season and sixth overall. Varsity Four and Eight Advance to NCAA Grand Final
The Michigan State rowing team sent two of its three entries to Grand Finals at the NCAA Regatta on Saturday, both with quality racing on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif. MSU's varsity four, after perhaps a disappointing second-place finish in Friday's opening heat, won their Saturday race by open water over Yale, while the varsity eight engaged in a 2,000-meter dogfight that saw three crews finish within six-tenths of a second. MSU's second varsity will be in the petite final on Sunday after a fourth-place finish on Saturday in its repechage.
