Former Spartan Chistine Bader Named Head Coach At Evansville
Former Michigan State tennis standout and
All-Big Ten performer Christine Bader has been chosen as women's tennis
head coach at the University of Evansville. She replaces Steve
Brockriede, who resigned last month after four years as head coach in
order to pursue his career as a club professional.

Christine Bader Selected As Finalist for the 2008 Wilson/ITA Promoter of the Year Award
Michigan State senior Christine Bader was selected as a finalist for the 2008 Wilson/ITA National Student-Athlete Promoter of the Year Award. The International Tennis Association (ITA) and Wilson Sporting Goods Co. created the award to recognize the contributions of outstanding team managers and student-athletes who have helped to maximize support for their individual tennis program and college tennis in general.

Women's Tennis Senior Christine Bader Earns All-Big Ten Honors
Michigan State women' tennis senior Christine Bader was named to the All-Big Ten Team at the Big Ten Women's Tennis Banquet on Thursday, April 24. Bader also earned the distinction in her sophomore season, as she becomes the third women's tennis player in MSU history to win the award twice in her career.

Women's Tennis Loses In First Round of Big Ten Championships
The No. 73 Michigan State women's tennis team fell to No. 63 Wisconsin, 4-2, in the first round of the Big Ten Championships on Thursday afternoon at the Schwartz Tennis Center. Michigan State fell behind early, as the Badgers dropped the Spartans at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, taking the early 1-0 lead. MSU won the first two matches in singles competition, but Wisconsin rebounded with three quick victories, ending the Spartans' season.Results

Spartan Women's Tennis Draws Wisconsin In First Round of Big Ten Championships
The Michigan State women's tennis team is set to compete at the women's Big Ten Champoionships in West Lafayette, Ind., hosted by Purdue University. Spartans Women's Tennis Loses to Wisconsin In Final Match of Regular Season
The Michigan State women's tennis team lost in its regular-season finale, 5-2, to Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon at the Nielsen Tennis Center. MSU (12-12, 3-7 Big Ten) fell behind early, 1-0, after surrending the doubles point. The Badgers hung tough in singles, beating the Spartans in four of six matches. MSU's Stephanie Kebler and Manon Noe both won their matches in super tiebreakers for the third set, as Kebler took out Emese Kardhordo, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-5), while Noe defeated Jessica Seyferth, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (13-11).Results

No. 1 Northwestern Takes Out Spartans, 7-0
The Michigan State women's tennis team fell to No. 1 Northwestern, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center. The Spartans struggled from the start as they were swept by the Wildcats in doubles. Northwestern stayed strong entering singles play, taking out MSU at all six positions.

Women's Tennis Goes on Road for Two Big Ten Battles
